Let's Play Ball!

Baseball passion year round

Description:

A new indoor baseball facility constructed with a prefabricated steel shell modified to meet the academy's unique needs.

The facility houses a professionally turfed infield, three real dirt bull-pens, washrooms, and front lobby. Two mezzanines on opposite sides of the field provide a meeting area, workout zone, and six batting cages.

At the back of the site there is a kame mound at a 50% slope, requiring a large retaining wall along the back of the building to allow the facility to fit on the site.

Our Role:

Ontario Building Code review, approvals, permit documentation, assistance with permits.

Achievements:

Coordination of structural, civil, environmental and city authorities in order to build into the kame which has been designated as environmentally significant.

By working directly with both the owner and contractor through every phase of the project the process was stream-lined, and decisions where made quickly, resulting in completion on time and on budget.
