Janet Lynn's Bistro

From Belmont and Back Again

An homage to one’s roots

Description:

Previously a paint store, the unit was retrofitted to meet the needs of this exclusive Belmont restaurant, featuring a 72 seat dining room, an open kitchen with an interactive chef’s bar, a wood-fired pizza oven, a large private meeting room and a wet bar. Using the restaurant's previous standards for serving and kitchen prep, the new location was designed to maximize efficiency. JMA worked to design a functional layout to maximize seating while maintaining a comfortable flow. The mechanical systems were designed to meet modern kitchen equipment needs and improve the indoor air quality. Natural light was brought into the space through skylights and large windows. The interior was designed with natural materials and incorporated some of the owner’s existing furniture. French doors open onto a patio, increasing capacity during warmer months. Through inclusive and effective management, JMA was able to complete the project on a tight schedule and budget.
