The expansion and renovation to the Region of Waterloo Cambridge Children’s Centre included a new entrance, kitchen, offices and a toddler room.
The drop-off and pick-up areas were redesigned to improve circulation and flow, resulting in
- a safer and smoother exchange of children at drop-off and pick-up,
- less intrusive general deliveries, and
- reduced corridor traffic within the facility.
The Centre now enjoys a prominent and welcoming façade that addresses the street and celebrates the daily arrival of parents and children.
Natural materials, curvilinear shapes and child-friendly windows make up a rich, bright and playful interior space.
