Convenience and Accessibility for Silvercreek Park

Washroom revitalization & a new pavillon for a more accessible public park

 

 

Description:

 JMA assisted the City of Guelph with several projects to modernize the public amenities at Silvercreek Park. The existing washroom building at Silvercreek Park received a new accessible, single occupant layout, and was adapted for year-round use. In addition to the washroom reconstruction, a new pavilion replaced Silvercreek Park’s aging pavilion. 

 

New wider paths, as well as the resurfacing of existing paths, improved pedestrian connectivity and accessibility the park.

 

Our Role:

 JMA provided full architectural and engineering services.

 

Our Acheivements:

 The renovations to the Silvercreek Park Washrooms were designed to meet modern standards for year-round accessibility and universality, while preserving their historic character.
